Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Rupali:

We are aware of your contributions to the ecosystem; talk us through your background and your journey, please;

Thank you for mentioning that. I would like to thank you for considering me to be a part of your edition and for allowing me to interact with your readers. I focus on serving women who are immigrants or ex-pats and looking to start their next innings of life whatever that may be for them, settling in a new country, new life or a new environment.

I started my career as a marketing and communications professional and I was doing great until I decided to get married and move to the UK.

In the last 6 years, I have experienced many challenges from bringing up two boys to trying to create an identity of my own in a new country. It also has been hard to find my footing in the local job market as I have no local experience.

Having gone through all these challenges and able to understand and overcome them I intend to help and empower women in similar situations to be better prepared and ready for these challenges in Life.”

How did you discover your passion in ‘Coaching’?

I feel I have been coaching all my life (laughs). No, I have had an eventful life and when I was not going anywhere with my new life here in the UK for 6 long years I became quite depressed and anxious about myself and my individuality in general.

I believe I have so much potential and so many experiences which I can use to make an impact, be of help and add value to people’s life. That is where I found coaching as a medium for this expression.”

It resonates with my personality and life choices.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

I would like to answer this using my “WHY”? Why do I do what I do and Why do I want to keep doing it??

I have many women in my life and social circle who have given up on their identity, individuality and aspirations to make their social, cultural and family life work smoothly.

I feel for them and I believe if a woman stands for her identity and dreams there is nothing that one has to be worried, scared or get uncomfortable about. Women are born with skills that help them in leading, managing, protecting, loving, nurturing and nourishing their environment and their loved ones.”

This is what I wish for every woman to feel and experience freedom from limiting beliefs and breaking through barriers. Imagine a world where every family is full of love, compassion, respect and gratitude. It all starts with the woman. Then why should women feel deprived of their happiness and the life that they want to live for themselves and their family.

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life

Well, there are a few of them:

(1) My Boys. I love them and I want them to grow up seeing and believing that life is a beautiful journey and that dreams do come true but you have to work for it and build the right mindset to achieve it. I want them to learn that happiness is a choice and success is a very subjective matter. We all are unique and we should embrace and support each other’s uniqueness.

(2) My Husband, he is the backbone, the spine of our family and without him, I cannot imagine myself doing what I am doing for us and the world at large.

(3) The “Pain” of not having it. This is the one that drives me every day. I sometimes doubt myself, feel uncertain and anxious about not having the life that I want and being unable to help people in their journey.

When people hear or see a Coach they think we are some kind of superhumans and we do not have emotions or challenges. The only power we coaches have is the ability to see our shortcomings, limiting beliefs and the capability to mindfully live in the moment to see what is happening to us.

This is why we are able to help people in similar situations as we know how it feels when and where it feels like that and how to break through that.

What are the business mantras you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story?

My Business mantras are:

(a) Opportunities are created. They do not come to you. If at all they do grab them with both hands and legs.

(b) Be Human – humility is our biggest asset

(c) Serve – gone are the days when you had to sell things to people, people are smart nowadays. Serve them instead.

(d) Be Authentic – People can sense made-up vs real very easily. Be who you are and show up that way.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

My strategy is “HAPPME” (Happy me). To know what it is I would request your readers to download and read my book “Who AM I” on Amazon Kindle App (https://amzn.to/3FRXftl)

Please share with us, what has worked well for you so far?

The expression has worked for me so far. I believe I connect better when I express myself without any filter.

You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?

My motivation comes from knowing my core values and fulfilling their needs.

I love to write and express, so I write blogs on LinkedIn and have published my first book “WHO AM I” on Amazon Kindle so that it can inspire, empower and help women to live their best version ever.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

According to me, Success is a very subjective, ongoing process and a never-ending journey.

My mentor once told me “Success is never yours; you rent it out every day through your hard work, conviction, belief and courage”. So I would say never be complacent, keep serving your people, be grateful, be a part of your tribe, and grow and help others grow along with you.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

> Find out what you want to do and why?

> Don’t just follow what your peers, parents, society etc are asking you to do. Hear them out but decide for yourself.

> Do thorough research to make sure you will love doing what you choose to do.

> Don’t be afraid of picking mundane tasks as you will have to do mundane tasks in life. Period.

> Don’t think of today or two years down the line. Have a long term and a short term plan. Lastly, invest in your development in the initial years of your career and learn as much and as many things as you can. Diversity increases your perspective and this leads to better decision making abilities.
